Remember when you first tasted wine? Perhaps you were just a teenager, or late into your twenties, or maybe you were in your early thirties when you delved into a world so new. I remember being in my freshman year in college when I first tasted wine. You see, my roommate and I decided to experience wine under the controlled setting of our dormroom. And of course, like any newbies, we started out with cheap zinfandel....and subsequently got a headache. Not exactly when we first fell in love with wine.

What a great idea for a wine blog! I must admnit, my first couple of adventures into wine was of the very cheap variety (I will not mention any brands). Let's just say I was under age, had a bad headache, thought I was cool because I was drinking "wine"...and ended up with a bad headache the next day. Thank goodness, I didn't give up on vino then and have since acquired a little bit better taste for it.

Does sherry count? My first experience with wine was when we ran out of beer but we were still thirsty for more alcohol and nothing else was available in the house...so sherry it was! Not for long though, as we all got sick after that sweet wine! Ughhh.....!

My first experience with wine was on a blind date. A very nice Italian restaurant - very nice bottle of merlot. I've been hooked ever since. I now have a favorite - Malbec's. The entire evening turned out pretty awesome.
